The heart of Backroom is a 36x24 Hardy modified MCI JH-6000 series console with a serious Canadian rock history.
Purchased in 1993, modifications for higher sonic standards were carried out by studio owner Anthony D'Avanzo and his team of technicians.
Standard recording medium is Pro Tools HD on Macintosh G5 computers.

With the assistance of world renowed designers Pilchner and Schoustal, the control room has been constructed with proper acoustic standards of high quality and care.

The Live room is approximately 150sq feet of wood flooring and 12 foot high wood raftered ceiling. Accompanied with 3 isolation booths, the Live room is one of the greater sounding rooms in the city.
